CUPE K-12: A big thank you to CUPE K-12 members for supporting children of essential services workers and vulnerable children in B.C. schools during these challenging times. Custodians, clerical, education assistants, bus drivers, IT, and many members who were redeployed provided supports to students and their families.
NON-DELTA RESIDENT SCHOLARSHIPS. Three (3) $500 scholarships are available for children and/or grandchildren of CUPE Local 1091 members who live outside the Delta area. Applicants must have attended a Public Secondary School outside of Delta and have plans to go on to post-secondary education.no later than 4:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2020.
The scholarship committee is comprised of the Local’s three elected Trustees. They will determine the scholarship winners and will report to the membership at our September 19th General Meeting.

Rod Allnutt, Director of Human Resources, has just sent an email to all district staff about the continuation of wages past April 30.
For CUPE staff, this means that if you are in a continuing position or a posted Temporaryt position, you will continue to be paid as long as you are doing work as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

The March 28 General Membership Meeting and By-election of the Chief Shop Steward has been CANCELLED.
Due to ongoing concerns for the health and well-being of our members and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Local’s Executive Committee, in consultation with our National Servicing Rep, have made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming General Membership meeting and By-election for Chief Shop Steward.
